Guest lecture at the University of Ljubljana

Dr. Aneta Vasiljevic-Shikaleska on 23 and 25 October 2018 has delivered a lecture on the topics “The Circular Economy: Barriers and Opportunities for SMEs” and “Life Cycle Analysis” for a group of undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Faculty of Administration, University of Ljubljana (Slovenia).

The aim of the lectures was 1) to familiarize the students with the concept of Circular Economy and the importance of implementing this concept at a time when a balance between the economic development and the use of resources and protection of the environment is more than necessary and 2) ) to familiarize the students with the life cycle assessment (LCA), the different LCA approaches and the advantages and disadvantages of using the LCA as a tool for decision making.

The experience from this stay is very positive, as the stay enabled strengthening of the current cooperation between the Integrated Business Faculty and the Integrated Business Institute, where d-r. Shikaleska is employed, and the Faculty of Administration, and the mobility of students and teaching staff was encouraged as well.
